But as we sat there drinking our coffee, there would also be another list of questions running through my mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do you want it to open you up or help you withdraw?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Which parts of your interior feel genuinely meaningful to you, and which ones simply feel expected?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Most people naturally begin with the language they already have. They show me Pinterest boards, saved images, colours and styles they like.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These references are useful. But they do not always explain why a particular image feels so attractive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Perhaps you are drawn to open, light-filled rooms because you need freedom. Perhaps deeper colours and enclosed corners appeal to you because you need privacy and protection. Perhaps symmetry and structure feel comforting because you are looking for greater stability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They are questions about the private atmosphere you want to live in. And, it is not always easy to explain that feeling while someone is sitting opposite you, waiting for an answer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That is why I created The Private Atmosphere Code<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n It is a short, private exercise designed to help you look beyond style labels and recognise the emotional quality you may be searching for in your home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The archetypes inside are not personality types, and the workbook is not intended to diagnose you. They are simply a symbolic design language, a way to explore different needs such as privacy, grounding, freedom, softness, order or expression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You do not need to analyse every answer deeply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Make yourself a cup of tea or pour a glass of wine, put your phone aside and answer instinctively. Notice which words and images create an immediate sense of recognition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There are no correct answers, and your result does not define who you are. You may recognise yourself in more than one pattern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It simply gives you another way to understand your preferences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When I completed the questions myself, I did not discover a dramatic hidden truth. But I did see a clear pattern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I understood why some objectively beautiful interiors left me completely unmoved, while others immediately felt familiar. What attracted me was not necessarily a particular style. It was a specific balance of protection, depth and creative freedom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You may recognise something similar in your own answers: a quality you have been searching for across different interiors without ever giving it a name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And once that need becomes clearer, design choices can become more precise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You are no longer choosing a colour simply because it looks beautiful.
